How long have you been on DeviantArt?
I've been on Deviantart for about 7 years now. I've started sharing drawings first on my first account and later on I discovered sculpting (trough Deviantart!) and created my Shirley's Studio 's page to upload sculpted pieces.

What does your username mean?
Well, that's easy Shirley is my first name and since a lot of sculptors used to call their workspace "Studio" I picked that name too. My username used to be "Tilluna" which was my character in a game I played quite a lot, World of Warcraft

Describe yourself in three words.

Creative, Kind and Shy. I am very shy in real life but am the happiest while being creative and/or while helping people. I find it important to be seen as someone that is always open to questions or chit chat. I'm still learning and I do make mistakes, just like everyone else!
 I love to help other creative minds and give advice or help when they have questions or trouble with their creative process. I think we should all help each other to grow as artists which can make the world smile and enjoy what we are creating!  Ah, this is a tad more than 3 words.. Oops!

Are you left or right handed?
Right handed! But my left hand is very well trained not to squeeze clay while I'm working on a sculpt.. Trial and error..!

What was your first deviation?
My veeery first deviation was a photo manipulation  but my very first uploaded sculpture was uploaded december 2011. A little fairy. Such a difference with my latest sculpture from this year!

What is your favourite type of art to create?
I love to sculpt and to sculpt mainly fantasy themed creatures. Since I've discovered the clay medium I was in love with it right away. I used to love drawing and painting but just couldn't make enough progress to enjoy it or to get to a higher level. With sculpting I'm learning so much every day and although I'm miles away from the level that I want to reach, I push myself hard to get better and I don't feel as frustrated as I did with drawing. 

If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
I think it wouldn't want to, I love the journey with getting better at what you do. But if I'd have to choose, I would go for drawing I loved it in my early years and still enjoy it every now and then. I would love to draw on paper what I have in my head.

What was your first favourite?
My very first favorite was a drawing of Hiro from the serie Heroes. I loved that show!
My first favorite that made me try sculpting myself was the work of the lovely . My mind was blown away by the amount of detail and the use of fabric and hair. I used to think sculptures only had sculpted clothing and hair and I didn't like that. It was such an eye opener for me how much you could do with mixing clay and other media together!

What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Sculpted art, especially fantasy creatures like Trolls, Elfs and Fairies. I also love drawn art, fantasy themed. Or pictures of nature... I think I don't have one particular type of artwork I prefer over others

Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?

Oh my gosh! This is an impossible question to answer! I love the work of so, so many deviants that I'm too afraid I might forget to mention someone in this long list. Let's say that I take the time to comment, fav and watch the deviants which works blow me away

If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?

All of the people I've met on Deviantart that changed my life for the better. I would love to thank everyone personally whom probably have no idea how much I appreciate their comments and adding my work to their favorites etc. You change the life of a person for the better, just doing a relatively small thing like leaving a comment or press the +Favorite button. Please never stop doing that, even tough most artists probably won't respond back for (insert any reason at all), I believe they appreciate the time you've taken to appreciate their work

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Where to start?! I owe so much to the deviants which took the time to Watch me, add my work to their favorites, shared my work and adopted my Trolls from the very early sculpting to now. I mean, I have this as my job now! How insane is that?! All because of the people who supported me along the way, you guys have no idea how thankful I am!  

What are your preferred tools to create art?
I have a small set of tools I use, here they are!

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Mostly in forest environments or just people I meet along the way. I get inspired by many place

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory
Getting my first Daily Deviation was one of my favorite memories. I was just clicking away on the site only to see my messages go up an insane amount all of a sudden. It wasn't even on my latest sculpt but one from months back so I really didn't understand what was happening! After I noticed one of my earlier sculpts received a DD, I was so happy! I immediately started responding and thanking people for commenting, Watching and adding the picture to favorites. Not much later I got a warning that I was spamming and couldn't post anything on other people's pages anymore for a certain time. Woops!
