My Bio

My name is Shirley and I’m a self-taught sculptor. I create fantasy art dolls, mostly Trolls, Fairies and other fantasy creatures from polymer clay.

After drawing and painting for a big part of my life, somewhere around 2011 I discovered the (huuuge!) world of Art Dolls. Overly excited, I ordered my first pack of clay and the sculpting journey began!

Over the years, lots and lots of Trolls and other creatures joined the fantasy family, which is still growing bigger and bigger every year!

How long have you been on DeviantArt? I've been on Deviantart for about 7 years now. I've started sharing drawings first on my first account and later on I discovered sculpting (trough Deviantart!) and created my Shirley's Studio 's page to upload sculpted pieces. What does your username mean? Well, that's easy :D Shirley is my first name and since a lot of sculptors used to call their workspace "Studio" I picked that name too. *carefully opens door and peeks in* Well.. Hi! It's been a while, deviantArt! And I noticed there are a lot of changes made to the site! I've been insanely busy the past couple of months and still struggling to get everything as up to date as possible. So many projects, so much fun dolls to be created! At this moment I just finished working on Maud, a lovely ladyfriend that helps me with decorating the house! And also a preview of new Trottle dolls! Decoration time!
